contact details on phone and sim card

dim novice purchased a nokia 2610 for the wife today and put her old sim
card in it, from her old phone,when i got home.

but whilst at the shop my sim card ( in my nokia 3210 ) connection details
(i.e. my telephone number) were then transferred to the new sim that came
with the new phone by staff in the orange shop. (since i didnt want to pay
£10 for another sim care i didnt need).

but all my contact details (i.e. my address book) still remains on my old
sim card, (but which now no longer shows network coverage). when i put it
in my phone (nokia 3210) the phone it offers the option to copy contacts to
sim card or to copy to phone. which is best? anyway i decided in my wisdom
to copy to both and now have a double entry for everything in my in contact
list. when i try to delete 'all', it will not co-operate.

but if i go to delete 'one at a time' i can go down deleting every other
one. ( a rather labourious task). any advice please, on where to store it
and to get around deleting every other one? thanks.

Set the phone to only display entries from the SIM or Phone memory, not
both.
