Default CPW cashback problems?

Hi all,
I seem to remember reading not so long ago that some people were
experiencing problems regarding cashback from CPW (not e2save,OSPS).To cut a
very long story short....i am still waiting for the 1st of my cheques 61
days after receiving my confirmation of receipt text message.Despite
numerous calls to redemptions i am getting nowhere,in fact i'm promted to
post this after the last call some 10 mins ago as the bloke was a complete
arse and basically didn't give a shit, not his money so why worry.
I've now been told that a cheque was sent to me in August but must have got
lost so now i have to wait 80 days for a replacement.Previous calls to
customer services told me a cheque had definately not been sent and wouldn't
be for some time to come.In all i've been given 3 or 4 different excuses as
to why i haven't received the thing. In total i should be receiving around
£157,not a huge amount of money..it's more the principle of the thing, they
are obviously now just taking the piss.

Anyway, enough rambling.......i'm not really moved to write a letter of
complaint as suggested by the last chap i spoke to as i fear it will get as
"lost" as my cheque.Any ideas of how to proceed or experiences? Maybe an
email direct to Mr Dunstone (if i knew his address!) ?

Cheers,

I am getting the same response. Apparently they sent my cheque in May but I
never received it. I even got a text message to say my cheque would be sent,
two weeks after the date they claimed they sent it!
Have been given many differing dates to wait ranging from 20 days to 80
days.
The eightieth day will be 14th November, I expect I will get the same "We
can do nothing it is all to do with our banking department" response. A
department no one has a phone number for, only an email address, which they
will not disclose. Some think it is based in the UK, others have said
Portugal.
I wrote to the customer services dept 4 weeks ago and to date no reply.
Even so called managers at CPW seem to be able to do absolutely nothing to
help.
I have been a customer of theirs for over 4 years, but when my contract
comes up for renewal I know what I will be doing.
Has anyone else found a way around the brick wall of no help?

Martin

Hi Martin,
Don't take this the wrong way but i'm sort of "glad" that it's not just me
they're messing around. It just reinforces my suspicion that they have simply
had too many people take up their offers and now the business side of
things is kicking in.Obviously they rely on people not sticking to thier
conditions and now people have cottoned on to this and are not letting them
get away with it.I may be reading too much into it but if you can't trust a
main player in the telecoms market like CPW then who can you? Seems like Fwd
Cellular all over again only on a much bigger scale.

Cheers anyway.

Personally I would complain to the operator of your network. I know that
they aren't responsible for the cashback deals, but if enough people
complain to the networks then maybe the networks will kick CPW into gear.

Maybe its worth getting Watchdog involved. It'll be just what the company
*won't* need after being slated on Watchdog last night for their abysmal
Talk Talk 'free' broadband fiasco!

IANAL etc

Try the Companies House website - they will give you the directors' HOME
addresses for, I believe, the sum of £3

That is bound to get a little more attention from them.

Hell, if they are still oweing you money after three months, they are in
default of the contract and so, I would issue a summons in the small claims
court and inform them that as they are in default, you will consider the
remainder of the contract null and void.
