£3.99 to unlock any phone ....

I've not used them, but a mate was thinking of using them to unlock
his Virgin Lobster as Virgin want a spend of £30 first ...

I'm not convinced ....

Cheers

A quick glance at their terms confirms your suspicion:

"Many makes/models not listed on our site will require a data cable to
be successfully unlocked in conjunction with the specialised software.
We will advise you if you need to have a cable. The cost for our mobile
unlock information service is covered in your £3.99 payment to us. This
is our admin charge for the use of our unlock database system. Please
note not all mobiles can be unlocked by software and data cables. Our
system will advise you on the best method to unlock your mobile phone."

Do not touch them.

I have just received a refund from Paypal - they never sent a code,
didn't respond to any email and didn't respond to the Paypal dispute.

There are other cases cited on google (which I wish I had read before
paying them). It is 'only' 3.99 but that is still nearly £4 too much to
pay for nothing.
