Default Email to SMS

In the USA, you can send an email to an ATT number
(1234567890@txt.att.net) and it will come as an SMS to the person's
phone.
Is there something similar for UK mobile numbers?
Thanks very much.

We used to have www.locust.co.uk using Oranges SMS server
giving cheap email to SMS
But Orange decide to kill locust's cheap feature rather than encourage it

Orange has/had email subject line to SMS, but it's more likely to not work
than work

Long ago O2 / Genie used to have free email to SMS

Cheap / free email to SMS has pretty much died in the UK

Not strictly email, but if you want to send SMS from an app
on your computer, http://smslisto.com lets you send SMS to UK
mobiles for about two and a half pence each.

In that case, www.fishtext.com is still cheaper.

cheaply, not only UK?

I was wanting email to SMS so I could have people contact me (currently
in USA) via SMS on my website using a form,

No solution free of charge, but if you're willing to pay for every
single text sent, have a look at:
