future use of mobile phones

Hello,
I am an italian student working on the future uses of the mobile phones
(payments, personal data,...). I found a lot of article on Internet but
I am still looking for two things:
- an expert to contact directly and have deeper inputs
- some rough data on SIM market: in fact I read that the services
offered by operators with phone services are possibile thanks to the
card, not to the phone. so I would like to know more about SIM market
but I found very few articles: all of them just reported that prices
(from producers to operators) are decreasing quickly, but no idea about
main producers, about the price level, about production countries, and
so on.

someone among you can help me or have any suggestion ?
