Help with Samsung J700

I have a 2gb memory card in my samsung j700 but if i try to take a video
with the built in cam it says i have to free memory?

How can i get the video cam to use the memory card?

Been right through the phone but cant find a way to set the phone to use the
memory card intsead of the inbuilt memory?

The mem card is empty.
