Default how long to recieve photo msg?

i sent a photo message on saturday at about 16:30 to my dad's phone, first
time i've ever sent one, on T-mobile on a pay if i can sim, i had plenty of
credit, and it sent it via the 3G connection (i was in cambridge centre at
the time, me dad was in london)

He got the message yesterday (Tuesday) at about 12:30,

Is it normal to take this long to send a single photo and a few lines of
text?

As it was the damn photo was worthless as it was to show something we'd had
fitted to the motorhome, and he got to see it in person on Monday when we
got back home, kinda taking the piss to then get the photo the next day.

All the settings are from the T-mobile send the settings to my phone thingy
from their website, as the phone was origionaly an O2 contract phone, (nokia
6822)

I've only ever had this kind of delay when using the simazing sim i got last
year to go abroad with, waste of time that for text's, 60% of them never got
through (yet were charged for), and the rest got through days later and out
of synch,

When I sent a photo SMS from my (then) Orange contract phone to a friend
on Vodafone in the UK she received it within minutes.
