Default I have a phone - but need a contract

Hi all,

I won a Sony Ericsson K800i in a competition last year and just bought a
PAYG sim for it. But now I want to use all it's functionality and am
considering a contract.

Is it possible to get a contract without a phone and if so, what are any
recommendations?

Cheers,

Bob

SIM only tarrifs are terrible value. Don't do it.

Get a free handset (K750i is a good choice) with free line rental by
cashback via here:

http://www.reestitmutton.co.uk/MOBIL...?query=12mfree

When you get the phone, take out the sim and put it in your k800i. You'll
get a load of minutes and texts free each month.
Sell the new phone on eBay (about £90) or keep it as a spare or stick your
PAYG SIM in it and give it to your wife/kids.

Even if you miss a cashback claim or two (though you shouldn't if you're
careful) this route represents a massive cost saving over a £20 or £25 pm
SIM only deal.

Normally you can't get a sim only contract, sim only tends to be
restricted to payg. Easiest solution is probably to identify the
contract you want and then find the cheapest phone available on that
contract and buy it.

Yes, lots of SIM-only deals available with no contract to sign:

The virgin sim only contracts are worth a look. They are a fiver cheaper
than the standard tariffs with the free phone. You might be better getting a
normal contract and selling the phone, as you could normally sell it for
more than the £60 you are saving in a year by going sim only.

T-Mobile do a SIM only contract for £7.50 / month with only 1 month
notice of cancellation required.

Great deal if you use GPRS / 3G, which is capped to £1 / day.
