Default idstance selling and renewing the contract

Hi,

Just phoned up to cancel my contract with my mobile supplier, but was
persuaded to renew. I got off the phone, did all the sums a bit more, then
decided that it wasnt the good deal that was suited to me as suggested. They
are going to send me a new phone etc. Do I still have the sales of distance
act protecting me? When I called back, it was stated that it wasnt, as it
was a renewal, not a new sale. Can anyone shed any light on this. It all
only just happened 10 minutes ago. So they havent done anything yet.

Check out the DTI website -- they have a detailed section on the
Distance Selling Regulations (DSR). But, I believe that since you are
just extending an existing contract, that you aren't covered by the
DSR.
