Default K550im

I purchased a Sony Eric. K550im and despite four email attempts to
their onlinse help desk I have received no response to and though I
was able to speak to someone I simply could not understand his accent.
I did do what he told me to do which was to reset the phone, even
though it meant deleting everything.

What I have trouble with is this

1) what is the security password for the phone protection?

2) When I try to purchase download tones etc it goes on to the
internet and it just reads crap "e}>2#3 dfg/:" for the entire page. I
have tried downloading the internet settings from the website but it
just states that 'connection has failed' and when I revert back to my
old setting and I go online, on the sony ericsson web page it states
its not a S/E phone. It gives me a list (closest is K550i) and it
still fucks up.

I am sure I am not the only person who had probs with this phone.
Should of stcik with my shitty philips.

Have you read the manual?

Could be a website problem.

What website?

The K500i and im are identical in the context of accessing WAP pages.

You need to give us more info, like what network you are on, PAYM or
PAYG etc. And you could try reading the manual for the security code.
Master reset does not delete stuff, by the way.

I have read the manual, I can find anywhere where it states the
security number.

The website is the s/e website that they encourage people to downloead
things from

I am on o2 pay as you go. I did go on line via my pc and ran the set
up on the s/e home page and when the setting came through I activated
them but it wouldnt let me go on line at all. "conntection has failed"
and when I revert back to the original settings I can go on line but
their website reads as letters and signs etc.

The master did delete two of the 'themes and the phone number etc'

regards

G

Sounds like your O2 SIM is not GPRS enabled. No doubt you have took it
from an old phone and put it into the K550. Call O2 to fix this.
