LG KP202 question

With my old LG F2250 phone, the exterior screen stayed on showing the
time etc. I replaced it with a KP202 but this switches off the
exterior screen after about a minute so you can't tell if the phone is
on or not without opening it. I can't find anything in the manual on
this; is it possible to change this?
