LG u890 conection problem

Ive just got one of these phones and i have a small problem when i
connect it up to the pc to try and dowload some tunes

i run the LG phone manager software and click the connect icon, when it
connects to the phone it lock my mouse up so the pointer wont move, ive
tried everything i can think to sort it - uninstalled and re-installed
even connected the mouse to usb from the mouse port but it locks
everytime

im runnin XP pro with a microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse, Anyone
else had this problem and managed to sort it??

HELP!!!!
