Default mms's abroad

i've read that sending mms's to the uk from abroad is the cheapest way to
stay in contact with home.

normal sms's are charged at about 40p, only 120 odd charecters,

mms's are charged at 20p can include photo's and upto 3000 charecters,

So that's what i'll do to contact home, the phone i would talk to dosent
accept mms's, but i can send them to an e-mail addy... i gather that's the
same price? was charged 20p to send one to an e-mail addy whilst in the
uk... on T-mobile payg.

Now contact from home.

if they call i'll get charged, know all about that, tried to avoid it last
year with a global sim, 60% of the time it would ring their end, but not
mine, had to contact me on other phone that was on a normal uk sim so i
could manual change networks a few times to get them to rin me.

Anyway, a text message from the uk to a uk phone aborad, what's that cost me
to pick up?? any more to the sender etc.

Same for mms's, well actually as the phone cant recieve mms's it cant send
them, but when a mms goes to an e-mail addy, there's a reply option for 7
days,

i noted my phone connects via gprs to get the body of the message, and
seemed to take a while doing so for a 3 word reply when i tried.

Any ideas what T-mobile charge me to collect an e-mail replied mms when i'm
abroad?

That depends on your network, it's not true for everyone. And SMS is 160
characters.

Again, network dependant. You may also find that you are unable to use
MMS abroad as not all networks support this facility. CHeck before you
go.

It is the same cost.

No. It's free to receive and no extra cost to the sender as they are
SMSing a UK number.

Can you reply to an email MMS? MMS is free to receive.

yup, tired it the other day, you only get 7 days to reply to it from the
computer, and when it comes in on the phone, the header is downloaded first,
then the body, which worried me as it took ages on the gprs connection to
get the body, and it was only 3 words,
