Default mobile insurance sent wrong colour replacement?

I recently had to claim for a new mobile under my accidental insurance
cover with 'Policy Administration Services' (Phones4U insurance company)

My original mobile Samsung D500 Black was replaced with a Samsung D500
Silver. I am not very happy because it's a different colour and does not
look so good as the black model. I phoned the insurance company and
basically what they said is that you get what ever colour they have got in
stock and they will not change it for a black version!

So is this correct? or are they fobbing me off?

Realise that your sense of self-worth has little to do with the colour of
your phone?

Benedict.

Read the T&Cs of your insurance contract. In all liklihood it says
that will replace it will a 'similar' version or use some such wording.

So, dunk the silver phone in a pot of black paint, problem solved,

I don't think you can have too much to complain about. The colour of the
phone does not affect it's ability to make calls etc. I think if you
read the small print you would find the words "we reserve the right to
substitute another model of equal or better specification" etc.
