The scene here (Germany) is poor in comparison to the UK. The carriers
all have 2 year contracts. There are PAYG deals but none of them have
inclusive data.
To give you an idea of a "good" providers rates Simyo
(
http://www.simyo.de/) has "only" 24 Cent/MB with (billed with 10 KB
chunks). Depressing.
A 2 year contract with a carrier will set you back around 10Euro/200MB
(eplus.de)
On the other hand there is a healthy sprinkling of cafes with open
internet access points. Perhaps a T-mobile WLAN account would help you
(usable at any Starbucks).
It's a depressing situation that I hope follows the UK model soon.
