Default Mobile to PDA connection without bluetooth

I am thinking of getting one the fixed/mobile convergence offerings
from BT or Orange where you can use your mobile for both VoIP call at
home and regular GSM calls when out and about. I notice that the few
phones that can be used do not have Bluetooth, e.g. Nokia 6136. This is
a concern as I use my bluetooth connection to my Palm TX. My question
is can I use the TCPIP functionallity of the phone to create a peer to
peer connection to my Palm in the absence of Bluetooth

Paul
