On Three Mobile PAYG, finding a few sites blocked using the built-in
browser on my N73.
I can get around this easily enough by using Opera-mini, but it doesn't
support downloads (or Flash for that matter), if I try to download some
things (apps/games, etc...) it switches to my default browser and I get
the site blocked message.
I've tried Opera Mobile and it does the same, any other suggestions?

Hi Sean.
I have an old Opera browser (demo/trial) opera_s60_620_euro_61_10.sis
that would have probably done the job for you.
Unfortunately i bet it wouldn't work on your N73?
Worked on my old NGage and also works on my 6630.
It's a demo/trial but once trial period has run out you can simply
delete a small file on your mobile's C drive and the trial starts
again.

With 3PAYG there are some ports/site blocked. I've got contract 3 X-Series
Silver and I can download anything I want using Opera Mobile.

Cheers Martin, can't hurt to try. My email address is goooner at dsl dot
pipex dot com
I did actually try the latest trial version of Opera Mobile last night
without any luck.

That could explain it then, when I was first browsing around Planet3 the
other day, I did find something about age verification in certain areas,
where they wanted to charge 99p to a credit card or something which
would allow access to age restricted stuff, maybe that would unlock
everything. I suppose with a contract they know you're over 18 anyway.
It'd be nice to get around, but it's not a massive hassle, as I'll carry
on doing what I have been doing, downloading the stuff to my PC then
transferring it to my phone, would have just been a bit more convenient.
As I said, I've got no problem seeing the restricted sites (I just use
Opera Mini, just cant' download direct to my phone).
