Motorola v3x remove network software

I have recently bought a a motorola V3x. It is the orange model but has
been unlocked for all networks. I do though find the orange software on
the phone very annoying. A mate told me it is possible to remove this
and get the phone back to the manufacturers original software. Does
anyone know how this can be done. Many thanks.
