Default Moving from Orange to 3 anything I should be aware of?

I'm seriously thinking of moving to 3 from Orange, been with Orange since
they started out
but 3 have some good offers.

Is their anything I might have forgotten I would lose out on?

Thanks

A service that doesn't drop calls if you move out of a 3G coverage area?

Since switching from Orange to 3 I have yet to have a dropped call.
OTOH, 3 still haven't responded to my question as to why most calls I
initiate take ~20 seconds to connect rather than the <5 seconds that
they did with Orange - and I'm well outside the 5 working days their
auto-reply told me it would take them to respond.

Perhaps where as others take 5 working days they also take 20 working
days to respond ;-(

I have heard from others who have used the other suppliers and then
switched that they have also noticed that with 3 there is a short delay
in connecting so it must be something to do with the set up. I suppose
if you know no different then it isn't an issue but when you have been
used to something different then it can be annoying.

My daughter is switching from Orange to 3

Yesterday she was 'uncontactable' on her number.

Today, if I ring her from my Orange phone it goes to her old Orange phone
If her boyfriend rings her (from his 3 phone) it goes to her new 3 phone.
Bizarre!

Will it sort itself out?

I apologise to 3. In fact they responded by calling me - but I was
driving so didn't take the call. They've just rung me again.

3's explanation is that either the phone is locked on to a poor coverage
Tx and when I go to make a call it decides to check if there's a better
coverage Tx - and this takes time; or that I've left applications
running in the background on my K800i and that this is slowing the phone
down. In both cases, cycling the power to the phone will sort the
problem. Comments?

Bog standard script reply from the ever so polite and helpful Indian 3
Customer Services.

If slow connection time was just a new thing and you haven't turned your
mobile off & on for a while it might be the memory, I know with my Nokia N73
its a pain in the ass, it drains memory everytime you open and close an
application.

When I'm outwith a 3G connection it does take a few seconds to connect, but
main problem with me outwith 3G area is internet access. All I get is
"Access Denied", running technical problem with 3 CS for a few months and
the final response was you maybe between two base stations and your mobiles
switching between the two of them, end of call, no solution to the problem,
I'll just have to live with it.

Didn't have the problem when O2 were the 2G supplier, all these problems
seem to have happened after Orange took over, or am I just being paranoid?

Should do -- sounds like Orange haven't completed their end of the
port yet.

The first one is feasible, the second is utter bollocks.
