Default Multi-SIM phones

I understand that Sony Ericsson has produced a phone which is capable
of having 2 SIMs from different networks. Where can I get details of
this? Are there any other phones with this facility?

A gazillion Chinese phones have this - CECT P168+ and others.
Most do not keep both SIM cards active at the same time though.

I have one of these

http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=164807

Works fine - both SIMs can be active at the same time for SMS in and out and
voice calls in and out - no need to reboot the phone to get the other SIM to
work.

I understand that the Samsung SGH-D880 can use two SIMs at the same time,
i.e. able to make and receive calls using either SIM without a power
cycle. I have no experience of that phone.

Cheers,

Mark.

I have this one:

http://shop.kvikfix.dk/product_info.php?products_id=48

It is a true 3G dualsim phone with 2 integrated antennas unlike Samsung's
D880 which can't operate on 3G GSM networks. Both sim are active at the same
time.

Search eBay for 'dual sim'. After enough time spent looking, you'll learn
to spot which ones do and which ones don't :-)

I don't think so. Verzio Duplii is a high-end 3G dualsim phone (3G is the
keyword here!). Samsungs D880 does not support 3G and it is almost as
expensive as Verzio Duplii.....Verzio Duplii is based on a Qualcomm/Philips
platform. That makes it quite unique compared to other dualsim phones which
are often based on MTK's unstable, low-end platforms. Furthermore, the phone
has 2 integrated RF modules - one for each SIM card. That alone makes Verzio
Duplii stand out if you ask me.

On the other hand, can one expect half the normal battery life?

The phone comes with a replacement battery. Higher capacity batteries only
yields 10% longer battery life. So I prefer the 2 batteries.

The standby/talk time is acceptable for a phone with dualsim
feature....Personally, I have been using the phone now for 3 days without
recharging...But I don't video chat that much, so maybe that's why...
