Default My 1st Three Contract

Decided to ditch O2 after they wanted £149 for a Nokia N73 on upgrade on a
Online 200 plan. They wouldn't match Three, so F'them.

This is going to be my 1st Three mobile & contract, was suckered in by the
Free MSN Messenger, Free Yahoo Content, Loads of Minutes & Text, 6mths half
price and additional £50 off, oh and a Free Nokia N73, what should I expect
and what's the tricks I'll need to learn on a Three contract.

I am going away for a long weekend. My place is stuffed full or antiques,
jewellery, fancy hi-fi, a week's takings from a petrol station and the
Porsche keys are hung up in the hall. I never put the alarm on, and often
forget to lock or even close the door...

Look you have signed up with them now, but if you are a mug, best not
advertise the fact eh!

Look back in this group for what you can['t] expect from their customer
service, billing etc.

What and O2 billing is any better? Vodafone CS has won service awards?

I've seen the postings in this group and I've also seen ones with complaints
about O2/Voda/O/Virgin. I very old time I've ever had a problem with my
phone or billing (once in a year) I've had to call and email O2 several
times, so I'll just do the same with Three, but with a better fone and extra
mins/txt.

The response was founded, but 3 have apparnetly improved quite a bit. I
guess you'll see over the next year :-) Not much help, but less dropped
calls when handover switching to 2g from 3g, and vice-versa, is what I
gather from recent group posts, but that could purely be geographically
related.

Well I am on my second 3 contract.
Now with an N73. yes when I originally joined I was a litttle cautious, but
have been very very pleasantly surprised.
As the weeks go on the service offering just gets better and better.
I am generally not a fan of Indian call centres but the team in Mumbai are
SO courteous and willing to help I have been greatly impressed.
My only gripe was no open internet and even that was resolved.
I love their 'always on' email service that pushes all your home email to
your mobile in near real time for just £2.50 a month, this is amazing.
And with their excellent My3 service you can see on your handset exactly
what you have left in your contract plan to the exact sms, video min, talk
min, MMS or Kb of data.or even what you have spent over your talk plan and
even view all your monthly bills on the phone.
As for billing only once was there a small discrepancy and after a quick
call to billing they saw the mistake, corrected it and gave me a credit as
an apology
The other networks better watch out.
have fun with your 3,
regards,
Steve

Been looking on the website at the My3 stuff, but will need to wait till my
phone comes to register.

That was my biggest gripe with O2 their online unbilled usage was crap.

Do you get the £5 Free Download per month and what's the best think to use
it for?

I second what Steve said. I moved to 3 mainly because reception on Orange
(my old contract) was awful. 3's reception over all parts of the country
I've travelled has been excellent. Perhaps I've been lucky but I've been
really pleased with them.
