Default N70: Number not in use

My wife has had no problems calling me from her Three N70 phone, but
lately when she tries to call me she gets a message on the screen saying
"Number not in use".
Other people can call/text me fine.
We did restart the phone and then she could call me but today she
restarted it and got the same error message.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Is there a solution?
Thanks

Problem sorted!
Checked to see if there was a firmware update but all okay.
Turns out somehow two extra digits were added to my number in the
phonebook and that is why the error came up. Oops!

I bet your phone was roaming on O2 when you made the successful calls
-- O2 seems to be more forgiving about extra digits at the end of a
number, whereas Three's own network will (correctly) report the number
is not valid.

In fairness o2 just act as a home telephone would; it dials it, and once it
gets to a digit that corresponds to a number it can call, voila, success.
