Default N82 or W960i ???

Contract time is up again
Looking at these two as "options" anyone have personal experience of either
of these?
Not even seen them in the shops yet but are avail on O2.

W960i Like the idea of decent music phone with plenne o storage
BUT not so keen on "touch screen" and

N82 Like Maps pre loaded and if music player like N95 it will do (but pref
dedicated music player button)
Dont like looks so much.
Another bonus is "removable" cards as storage but ugly as Jodie Marsh.

Cheers

I had an N82 on trial over Christmas. My thoughts about it are here:

http://blogs.warwick.ac.uk/steverumsby/entry/nokia_n82/
http://blogs.warwick.ac.uk/steverums...nokia_n82_the/
http://blogs.warwick.ac.uk/steverums...nokia_n82_gps/

The keypad is horrible and that's almost enough by itself to put me
off! I don't think I'd like to use it long term. The camera is great.
The music player is OK. The GPS navigation has its faults and I don't
think I'd end up using it much.

I've not seen the W960i in the flesh, but having seen the N82 I'd be
inclined to go for the SE! But that's just me...

Steve.

I have a W960i and I really like it. It's the first mobile phone I've
had that does everything I want: I had a P1 but missed the Walkman
Music Player and the built in storage for music. Tried a W950 and I
missed the WLan and the QuickOffice apps. I don't mind the lack of
built-in GPS as it works OK with a separate BT unit. I happen to like
the touch-screen and the handwriting recognition, but that's a
personal thing.

I'm biased, since I do some work for SE, but this really is the first
phone that I would spend my own money on.

Regards

Pete

I've had a N82 for a week now. Take a look at 'Re No more N-Series Nokia's
on Orange'

The keypad..... It does take some getting use to. You can't just try it in a
shop decide. I'm getting more and more use to it each day. This phone is so
well built. It feels great in the hand. People say it's ugly. I love the
look of my N82.....
This is one of the most stable phones I've owned. There's no lag in the
menus. I've been playing around with the navigation (you get 3 months free
trial, and very impressed. I can normally get a lock on in around 10
seconds.

Three months?!? Oh gosh I hate N82 owners now. =P I only got a three
day navigation trial with my N95.

The good thing about N-Series phones is that Nokia don't forget all
about firmware updates and adding value when newer models are released.
Having said that, some users are at their operator's mercy unless
they debrand their handsets...and of course they sometimes disable
features (like VOIP).

I would never buy a branded phone! Bought my N82 off Ebay, and it's 100%
brand new, sim free, unlocked, and no branding anywhere! VOIP is working
very well! Made a few test phone calls already!
