Default Network issues

Im with vodafone, I have been for 5 months.
About 3 months ago my signal diminished at work (where I am most of
the time.)
Speaking with others they say they have the same product, one said
that she had rang up and they said that they were having problems with
a mast and would be refunding the line rental for the months of
inconvenience.
Whats the best way to go about this. I am not happy with the service
and I too would like my money back, What shall i say. Should I quote
the buyers law of 'not fit for the purpose it was sold for?'
Thank you in advance

why not follow the example of your friend - all she did was ring them
and explain the problems she was having - tell them you've been affected
too and they'll probably offer you the same deal

Your contract with Vodafone stipulates that they do not gaurantee that
you will receive a signal at any particular location, or that part of
their network may be taken offline due to a fault. They may offer you
a refund of line rental as a good will gesture, but wouldn't be
obliged to unless a significant portion of their entire network was
offline for a significant amount of time. (The 'significant' here
would have to be determined by a court). One mast being offline is
unlikely to warrant you having a claim against Vodafone if your phone
works elsewhere without problem.
