Default new nigerian scam

Twice I have had someone (the same person I think) from Nigeria call my
mobile asking me to text to him my email address. With such a heavy accent
that it is almost impossible to work out what he is saying. My business
sometimes has dealings with Africa, nevertheless, being highly suspicious,
I've not done so. I presume it is just the first step in some kind of
advance-fee fraud.

I guess they must be using stolen accounts otherwise the cost of calling a
mobile long-distance would be prohibitive even to scammers. Astonishing
the ingenuity of these people, shame they can't apply it to more honest
endeavours.

Just a heads-up in case anyone else receives one of these calls.

You can warn people all you like, unfortunately when greed comes in to it
they will fall for it every time.
It's amazing how many people offered millions in a fraudulent deal will then
complain when they are ripped off.
Why didn't you ask the person why he wanted your email address? Why if he
deals with your company doesn't he know the web site and why didn't he phone
a main number.
Do you give your own mobile number out for company use?

I think you might need protecting from yourself!
Most of us have the common sense to deal with such a call appropriately.
