nokia 2760

hi all,

My wife got a new Nokia 2670 on Thursday, she is on o2 PAYG and whenever she
sends a text a message comes up on the screen showing her remaining balance,
this also happened on her old Nokia but what is different is on this phone
the message is accompanied by a text rec'd tone, I've turned off all the
alert/warning tones etc but no difference, can anyone help please?,

This tone cannot be turned off on many new phones without turning off
all sms alerts. What you can do is ask customer services to turn off the
balance notifications, then just check the balance manually from time to
time.
