I've got a Nokia N80 and for some reason the ear speaker has suddenly
become very very quiet. (Before you say it - yes, the volume in-call
is turned right up

)
I'll be in call and it's very quiet to even begin with, but then will
deteriorate rapidly so that I can barely hear the person at all.
I've switched it off and on again with no joy.
There isn't anything visible covering the speaker (debris etc) - it's
just been sat on my desk on charge, and as I made a call just 30 mins
ago, it started playing up.
Any suggestions? I'll be taking it to the local independent phone
repairer tomorrow, it sounds to me as if the speaker has bit the dust,
but would appreciate any other thoughts/suggestions. Oh, and how much
d'you reckon is a fair price for a speaker transplant?
Thanks,
Rachel.
