And by "yes", you really mean "no".

The phones in-built VoIP has been disabled. Truphone is a 3rd party
application which will work just fine.

Is the built in VoIP better / faster ?
If not why are Orange and Voda bothering to disable it if it can be easily
replaced by Truphone and Fri.. er the other one ?

Faster? Not sure what you mean by that. It's certainly better because it
integrates with the phones contacts etc.

If I had to guess there would be 2 reasons.

1. It's a direct threat to voice revenue
2. They dont want to take calls from angry customers who've run up
massive GPRS bills because they were using "internet call" instead of
"voice call" but didn't know what that meant.
