Default NOKIA On/Off Problems

I had a problem with my Wife's Nokia 6233 turning itself off every now and
then and noticed last week while having a look at it that if I hit it gently
it would turn off. Thought was a loose battery and added an old sim card to
the back of the battery and its been running great ever since, not one turn
off yet.

Now my brother-in-law just got a N95 as an upgrade and I was asking him how
he like the phone and he said great apart from it turning itself off every
so often. I advised him to do the same as I did for the wife and right
enough solved the problem.

Is this a common problem with Nokia's and if it is why are they still bl00dy
making newer phones with the same problem. The Nokia 6233 and N95 must have
a year or more gap between them being released?

6210 and 6310 just the same, small piece of cardboard between battery
and body creates just enough 'tension' to solve problem .... 6210 must
be all of 7+ years old now. Design is very different though so hardly a
consistent error on their part.
