O2 Voicemail Greeting

Hi

I am trying to find a way to reset my O2 voicemail greeting to the
default. I have tried 1760/1750 switching off and on but it comes
back with my personalised greeting.

O2 have said there is no way to do this. Surely they could delete my
mailbox and reinstate it somehow?

I am expecting a call from someone I do not want to know it is my
number is the only way to for me to get someone to record a greeting
for me or buy one of those fake messages?

Call voicemail 901, go thru the menu and re-record your personnal greeting
and don't say anything.

Thanks Gerry, wont that just leave them with a blank message with
background noise? I tried recording and stopping recording a second
later but it says message is too short!!!

You could always use 'text to speech' in word or excel. Type in your
message and have the computer read it out as you hold phone near
speaker. Use control panel - speech - to select the voice: "Microsoft
Sam" perhaps?

Not a wind up.

I think text to speech was only in Office 2003 onwards so if you have an
old version it may not be there.

I used it in Excel to do some very simple maths games for my young
children. 5x7 kind of things. Enter the answers to 10 questions then
run the little macro I wrote and Microsoft Sam says "Five times seven
equals thirty five" and so on. "You got 8 out of ten right, try harder
next time"

i use to work for 02 customer services, it's a bit tricky to get it reset,

you first need to record a personal greeting and then delete that personal
greeting.

if you have any problems lemme know and i'll try it on my phone.
