Default O2 XDA Exec (HTC Universal) control for keyboard backlight

Would someone know how to control the keyboard backlight? It sometimes
comes on when not needed. I couldn't find any settings for this.

There is a sensor for this, just near the right softkey if I remember

A key that does not have one fixed function, I.e. the function of it
changes depending on what you are doing with device.
