Default O2 XDA Orbit - sync problem

I recently purchased the O2 XDA Orbit which seems to work very well
except for one small problem, which I'm hoping someone can help me
with..

I can synchronise all of my emails and tasks/appointments ok between
the device and Outlook on my PC but I can't seem to get the contacts
from the device to sync with my Outlook contacts.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I think I've managed to solve this myself, I simply copied every
contact on my XDA which then synchronised, I then simply deleted the
duplicates. Don't know why it wouldn't work originally though!

It wont sync contacts which are on the SIM.
