Default Onestopphoneshop Cashback

Has anybody had problems with OneStopphoneShop cashback?

A bought a phone in August 2006, I was told I would get £111 automatic
cashback within 90days also when I send month 4, 8 and 12 bills I will
receive £83 cashback each time.
Since I did not get my £111 by Dec 31st 2006, I wrote them and I got an
email from the their helpdesk telling me I will get my money by end of Jan
2007. When I phone them today I was told it will take another 21 days before
I get the money. I am also waiting to get month 4 cashback of £83.

Any advice or useful telephone numbers to complain to?

My friends had problems with them recently he got two phones when the two
cashback cheques arrived one them bounced. He is still waiting for
Onestopphoneshop to write replacement cheque.

Yes, which is particularly annoying as they were very good in the past.
The 90 day auto-payment was due in early December but didn't arrive;
they said it would be done by the end of December which, of course, it
wasn't. Their last email relating to this said that they had a backlog
of claims to process so could I ask them again in 2 weeks' time!

The month 4 claim supposedly had a cheque raised 2 weeks ago but I've
not seen it yet.

Meaning?
Dealers in for the long haul, will need to keep it's customers,
which will require good faith with them, defaulting on cashbacks
will do neither and eventually ruin the dealer.

The tricky bit is discovering which dealers are in it for the long,
and which short term.

AFAIK OSPS is in the long term
Keep emailing them

Is the Pope a Catholic?

Google Groups for a depressing read.

Somehow, you've got to get it through to them that you're very serious.
Make it clear that your letter threatening them with the County Court is
a "letter before action", and give them a reasonable period to respond.
It was the phone call pointing out that this period had almost expired,
and that I'd be posting the Claim off the following weekend that finally
resulted in a cheque.

No, been fine so far. Always send my cashback claims via Special (not
Recorded) Delivery and knew it had been received. I got an e-mail from
them a week or two later saying it had been received and processed -
cheque then arrived about another week after that.

Cheers

Alan

To answer your question, the number to 'phone is 0845-4567878 and follow the
prompts thro' to the redemptions / cashback option. I have had delays in
payment previously, which have been cleared up by a simple 'phone call. You
could argue that you shouldn't need to chase them up but if you accept you
may have to make a 'phone call here and there, cashback deals do work. In my
experience all my claims (on 3 different contracts) have been honoured with
OSPS and e2save.

Also have a look at http://www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk/cashback.php
I had to remind them about my automatic cashback of £35 pounds. Sent them a
letter with my first cash back and they sent it to me.

IMHO OSPS are one of the best for cashback in getting the money from them
with friendly t&c

Dom
