If you're using One Touch the application that Nokia supply you will see
the connection speed reported by Windows as being that of your COM
device settings (defaults to 460kb/s with the Nokia software
configurator). You can go into these settings in the control panel, find
your Nokia Modem device and change this setting up to the maximum baud
rate of 920k and this speed will be reported instead; however, this is
not your actual connection speed. Try using
http://www.speedtest.net/ to
get more meaningful information. If you're running version 20 or greater
of the firmware you should see the 3.5G logo appear during data
transfers, if you are and you don't then you need to phone up and
upgrade to Web n Walk PLUS. Standard Web n Walk will not allow HSDPA.
3.6Mb/s is theoretical on T-Mobile however most people will struggle to
just make 3.4Mb/s with a strong 3G signal.
