I have been on the hold music for 20 mins now.

to Lost and Stolen.

during this time, potentially the old sim could be nailled at mo to a
overseas premium wotever costing begga bucks

Hope its a free number!

I find calling 08000792000 gets answered very quickly as Orange pay for
the freephone number. If they tell you its not the right department ask
to get transfered

This is the way with most companies nowadays I'm afraid. I wasted
several hours of my life on hold sorting out dishonest billing when I
was on Orange contract.
