Default Orange Call Abroad SIM Card

Got a freind in South Korea who is visiting the UK for a month during
June/July.
I have lent her an unlocked UK phone but need to advise her what PAYG SIM to
get.
The obvious choice seems to be the Orange Call Abroad SIM Card which gives
calls back to Korea for 7p or 15p per minute.

http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/sim/callabroadsim

What the website doesn't tell you is what the costs are for calls made to UK
numbers.
Anyone used this deal, are there any catches, or anyone got a better idea ?

If you go to this page
http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/sim/payg_sim
and click on 'Show Details', adjacent to the Call abroad SIM it states
'Standard Network Rates'. For PAYG that is a flat 15p/min to 01/02
numbers + mobiles with a min call charge of 10p afaik.

Try T-mobile, and use the Yourcallworld callthrough numbers recently
set up for this

3p Korean landlines, 6p Korea mobiles

http://www.yourcallworld.com/tmobile...South%20Mobile

and T-mobile's 12p UK rates on the Everyone tariff

Thanks for the info.
Seems a reasonable deal, but can't help wondering where the catch is.when
the charges are so much lower than the robbing bastards charge you when
you're on contract and call abroad.

Same as the standard speakeasy tariff, but you cannot have any of the
reward schemes.

Calls to Customer Services are 70p IIRC (so don't!)

Rates to 08** are high and extortionate to 0871.

Calling Europe is not cheap.

Works fine for me to keep in touch with family in Israel; rather cheaper
than BT's landline rates...

I have a separate phone with a Call Abroad SIM for overseas calls.
Orange online shop have some basic PAYG phones for £9.99.

Mobiles: 20p/min

From your BT landline:

Mobiles: 3p/min using Dial Thru - 0844 439 1515 (0844 Calls).
