Default Orange Contract now using Indian Call Centres, WTF!!!

I have been a contract customer with Orange for over 10yrs, for at
least the last three of which i have been a "band 5" customer. I dont
often phone 150 but when i do i have always recieved (usually) good
service.

I also had a 3 contract which i have just cancelled because it was a
nightmare trying to speak to the guys in india. I am not racist and
work in a UK call centre but find gettng the message across is a
nightmare, so for that reason it was bye bye 3.

Imagine my horror last night when i foned orange CS to try and discuss
changing my airtime, i ended up in bangalore talking to someone who i
can only decribe as a fool who could not answer any of my questions
and stuck to the call script like a robot. Thinking it was a problem
with overflow of calls (i understood PAYG calls were dealt with in
India) i foned back today in the hope my call might end up in the UK,
same again Im sure the guys in india are doing their best but it is
not what i expect to pay £100 a month for.

Starting to wish i hadnt cancelled my 3 contract now, as my orange
contract is in its final month. i would at least be getting what i pay
for with 3, if i want a no frills Mobile contract at least with three
you know what you are getting, and can be expected to make allowances.

I phoned to register my 'upgraded phone' today.

Spoke to Rashish (or whatever he was called). When I told him it was a
business a/c he put me thru to Darlington (?) and spoke to an Englishman,
which was a much better experience.

If you spend 100GBP pcm, are you a business? Even if you're not, you should
tell them you are, you get better service IMHO.

Upgrade registration has been outsourced to India for quite some time, at
least a year or more.

The account clearly states weather you are a business customer or not.
Otherwise, a reasonable plan.
