Default Orange Everyphone--any non-business customers had luck getting it reinstated?

Just wondering. I hadn't had much use for it in the past, but now it'd
be very useful -- to redivert to a Skype-In or VoiceStick UK landline
number while I'm abroad for three months (will be keeping my Orange
contract for that time).

Failing that I'd thought I'd probably have enough Orange UK minutes in
those three months (that I wouldn't otherwise be using) to divert to
the UK landline number, but I'd rather not risk running out of minutes
during these (what would be) incoming calls and then having to pay
unnecessarily.

*Sigh*... I dunno, I've been mug enough to have a continuous Orange
pay-monthly contract since 1995, and I don't feel valued as a
customer. I'm tempted to ring them and try kicking up a fuss to get
them to reinstate the Everyphone facility to me as a non-business
customer. It's not like it would hardly cost them bugger all. And, as
there likely aren't many non-business customers who do use it, they
would surely have the network capacity to allow those who *do* request
it to have it for free.

There was time when Orange valued long-standing customer mugs like me:
Orange Equity. I managed to get £60-worth of Amazon.co.uk vouchers
from it which was better than a kick in the teeth. Of course they got
rid of that years ago.

Anyhow, sorry, I'm digressing into a meandering whinge.

The gist of my post: has anyone who is a non-business Orange customer
managed to get them to reinstate Orange Everyphone for free?

Thanks!
Johnny Dee

Everyphone has been defunct for two or three years

Yes, to non-business customers, I know that. But it's still available
to Orange business customers. (See
http://www.business.orange.co.uk/ser...=1135953583469
)

My question is: have any non-business customers been able to have it
reinstated (most likely by either kicking up a fuss or finding a
knowledgeable and sympathetic Orange customer service person)?

It's in a slightly different form now, too. I remember the halcyon days
when you could programme the divert whilst logged in on orange.co.uk.
Very useful.

I opened a free business bank account. Faxed Orange a copy of a cheque.
Hey presto; I now have Everyphone.

Oh wow; I have a business account, but I pay my Orange bill by direct
debit from my personal current account. Would I have to pay via the
business account instead, or just fax them a business cheque? (! --
seems arbitrary somehow, that that's all that would constitute being a
business customer with Orange!)

Thanks for any clarification you can give!

My Orange account is still paid from my personal account. However, my
Orange bill now gets addressed to My Business Name. I got a year's free
Orange Care too.

Business customers still get it.
