Default Orange GPRS trouble

Has anyone noticed any problems with Orange PAYG GPRS recently? I've been
using a Windows laptop with Nokia 6820 connected via Bluetooth to the 1
pound/day offer. This combination worked a few weeks ago and I haven't
changed anything since. Today GPRS connects successfully via PPP from
Windows, but there's a problem with data transfer. Looking at the data
counters on the phone or in Windows, the sent data increases as you'd
expect, but received data either stays at zero, or works correctly
(receiving valid web pages) until about 13-15KB at which point no further
data is received. The same happens with the phone's WAP browser - I get two
WAP pages before the connection dies, with the byte count at about 14KB.

I can't see how this would be anything other than Orange's network - could
it be? I've tried moving the phone around the house, but it has the same
effect. Using a Siemens A62 with the same SIM and the internal WAP browser
also stalls in a similar way, at about 22KB combined up+down bytes (it
doesn't separate by direction).

Anything I can do, or anywhere I can report this that would get a sensible
response?

Thanks
Theo

156.

FWIW I shift a couple of Mb per day and have not had any trouble, could
be a local issue.

Appeared not to be working this morning in London (EC4) this morning. Checked
with a work collegue, who also uses Orange and GPRS wasn't working for them either.

Seems to have been fixed around midday.

Yes, I use the PAYG access with a PCMCIA GPRS card in my laptop.
I hadn't used it for a while and tried at the weekend. I was
connected fine but
no throughput. I also tried in various locations.

I just gave up in the end.

156 doesn't connect to anything for me, but I got through to some through
the menus on 450 that knew what they were on about. I was told on Wednesday
to wait 24 hrs and try again, and today I've been told to wait until Monday.
In both cases they say there's a fault they know about.

Sisn't realise you were on PAYG. 07973 100156, or just ask to be
transferred to data support.

Could be a local issue then, these are documented on the intranet quite
regularly.
