Must we always get updates when the Orange mailservers fall over?

News about this and their SMS notifications not working must make up
half the posts to this group and the Orange list.

yes.

there are a few here that work for orange. and they often past the message
upwards even when us humble folk cant make contact.

Judging by how often it ain't working, it's obviously very effective...

this year, I have had 2 weeks ago when sms alerts failed for 2 days, and
this imap issue. Thats been it.

I like the use of "this year" to reduce the timescale to 75 days! ;-)

What about in the last 12 months?

I have more than 10 POP mail accounts and can't remember the last time
one broke.. Either this year, the last twelve months or longer.

It's a regular occurence seeing posts on here about Orange's mail going
belly up.
