Orange matching Flext?

Called to get my P.A.C..I am currently on Select 500, I wanted Orange
to match Flext 35 (900 minutes or 1800 text or mixture of both).
Orange Retentions agreed to match Flext 35, give me £80.00 credit and
a free phone.. I wanted the K800i but this was going to cost me
£49.99, so he suggested if i wanted the phone free I could stay on my
current tarriff of 500 minutes and be charged £10.00 per month, get
the phone free, receive a credit of £50.00 on my next bill and receive
60 free text per month for 18 months. I took the latter. .I didn't even
have to agree to pay by direct debit. He said something interesting
though that Flext tarriffs are worth 230 points and it was the points
that determined what phones were free and all phones upto £99.00 on
the Orange upgrade web page are free, and even if they are out of stock
on the Orange website retentions may have a limited supply.
