Default Orange registration problems

For three days now I've been trying to register the SIM in my new phone and
get a phone number to go with it. By internet I get "Unfortunately there has
been a problem with your request. A fault has been reported. Please try
again later". By landline I get passed by the robot to a "supervisor" who
tells me, on a very bad line, "the computers are down, try in an hour".

Is this a common problem? Is it the SIM or Orange? I'm getting pissed off
with the Orange service before I'm even on it.

Finally sorted. After being passed on to a human, who started giving me the
"new improved servers being installed" crap, I told him I'd been trying 3
days and he miraculously fixed me up.

Death to all robots.

There have not been any registrations issues in the last 3 days.

Do it over the phone on 0800 079 0006.
