Default Orange Simcards

Hey guys,

Does anyone know if a Orange simcard that would be supplied with a brand new
SPV M3100 would work in an SPV C500? I'm not sure if a 3G sim would work in
an older phone.

Thanks

It will for voice calls. You won't be able to send text messages, though.

My C550 works happily enough with my M3100 SIM in it, for texts, voice,
data etc.

Interesting. I upgraded to an M3100 and whilst my 3GSIM will work fine
in terms of voice calls and *recieving* texts I can't send any. A mate
of mine who knows more about these sorts of things than me told me it
was because the chips on the 3G SIMS are mapped differently....

u just didnt have the smsc set correctly in the handset. all orange 3g sims
will work in 2g fones. just without the data speed of 3g.

They may well be but they are backwards compatible. Whatever the cause
of your issue it is not the fact that it's a 3G USIM.
