Phone Box Direct Update

Just in case anyone wanted to know... here's the latest update.

"9 Estimated Outcome
9.1 Based on the information presently available it is unlikely that
there will be a dividend to unsecured creditors." [i.e. customers]

....which is in line with what Mazars LLP have said previously. Mazars
have been quite good about updating customers in my opinion, not that
I've experienced this sort of thing before.

I did phone up Vodafone and manage to negotiate a half price discount
from the date Phone Box Direct when bankrupt until the end of my line
rental, which I didn't think was too bad an offer (I termed it
reasonable). I initially called the contract cancellations department
and they took my contact number and called me back a few weeks later,
because it's just 1 department within Vodafone dealing with this issue,
understandably. Initially they offered me double minutes and texts but
I said this was no good to me as I didn't use up anywhere near my
allowance.

I would advise you that due to the impracticalities of holding a
meeting of creditors, the Joint Administrators made an application to
the Court to enable them to hold meetings and to put proposals to
creditors by correspondence (including electronic correspondence). On
12 December 2007, the Court issued the Order and I would, therefore,
advise you that the request for approval of the Joint
Administrators' proposals will be conducted by correspondence.

It should be noted that to be able to cast your vote on the Joint
Administrators' proposals you will need to register your claim at

must vote by 12.00 hours on 23 January 2008.
