I have a question, which could affect what type of phone and/or
network I sign up for when my current 12 month minimum term is
over....
A few local radio stations stream their broadcasts on the internet
using Windows media. eg if I want to listen to the audio stream from
http://www.kmfm.co.uk/default.aspx?station=2
I'm not often in the area, so the fm radio opton on my current phone
isn't suitable.
Are there any phones (pref 3G) which allow you to listen to these
streams through the phone itself (rather than using the phone as a
modem connected to a laptop).
Alternatively, is there any software (eg for my current Nokia N70)
which would allow me to do the same. I presume the windows smartphones
and mobile edition pocket PCs allow you to do this as standard ?
If not, would the Orb option on 3's X-Series gold package allow me to
do this ?
I assume that data usage levels would mean I'd be best off on
T-mobiles webnwalk deal or the 3 X-series pack, assuming appropriate
handsets are available.
I'm currently on Orange, and am wondering if they're ever going to
release a 3G capable follow-up to their C600 handset.
thanks in advance
Matt
