Default porting

just ported sons number from tesco payg to tmobile sim only unlimited texts
(hes 12 and was bankrupting me on payg)

number ported today, working for calls but his daily 100 or so texts are not
coming through yet. Normal to have a delay ?

Mmmm. Sounds like you made a mistake there...

The idea of PAYG for kids is that _they_ pay the top-ups!

sadly, he isnt Indian or Chinese so no sweat shops available. AFAIK 11 year
olds cant work

There's often a delay. Number porting behind the scenes stuff doesn't
seem to happen on weekends either, annoyingly! If its not working by
Monday then def give T-Mobile a call.

I'm appalled that you don't know if your son is 11 or 12 years old.

LOL. Hes 11....12 on Sat :-)

On a serious note, its working now. I had a bit of cat and mouse with T
Mobile. One op told me three working days, one told me oops I will need to
escalate this and one said I will do a refresh for you.
It started working within a couple of hours of the refresh (whatever that
is).

I now wish I hadnt bothered as my life has a backgtound scorre of text
alerts
