Default Porting my number from a Virgin PAYG Bundle.

I'm currently with Virgin Mobile. I have a 'PAYG' account rather than a
contract, but I pay a fixed amount monthly by DD as I'm on a 'bundle'
(£10/month for 300 texts and 300 cross network minutes).
I'm wondering if transferring my number to a new provider will work the same
as transferring from a contract, that is, I simply phone them up and ask for
a PAC whaich I will give to the new provider... (I assume the act of doing
this will cancel my bundle, and they'll stop taking the DD payments at that
time).

Before anyone has a moan... I know I could find this out by phoning CS, but
anyone that has tried VM CS will know why I'm asking here first... :-/

Porting out will cancel everything. They will process a final bill and
that's it.

What's the problem with Virgin Mobile customer services? I always find
them to be excellent.

Same here, Virgin Mobile customer service have been excellent when I've
called them.

Must have had an un-characteristically bad experience when I called then. I
suppose once I got to talk to the right person, they were good, but it took
30 minutes on hold and 3 transfers to get to speak to him...
