I am a Vodafone customer and today I recieved a call from a company
called "Premier Telecom" who, when I asked, stated they we affiliated
with Vodafone.
They stated that they could offer me a free upgrade or a cheque for £75
if I agreed to a further 18 month contract with Vodafone.
They, well the chap Tom, said that my tarriff, number etc would remain
the same.
Their phone number, as shown on my phone and also confirmed by Tom is
01489 587200.
Has anyone heard of, or know anything about, this company?

It *appears* as though they're something to do with Carphone
Warehouse, so if you're an existing customer of theirs it might
explain how they got your details.
However...
The "about us" page on their website doesn't work, and I can't find
either a contact number or address on there. One of the insurance sub-
pages for "help" goes on to load a page from e2save, so if they're not
"related" to CPW they're pinching quite a few links !

I didn't get the phone from CPW, I got it directly from Vodafone, as I
did the phone before that. Actaully, I've never brought a mobile from
CPW!!

Wouldn't touch 'em with a bargepole - here is the whois lookup for them:

How can you tell ?
I'm not disputing your opinion but don't see the facts coming from that
entry.

I've contacted Vodafone and apparently "Premier Telecom" are one of
their outsourcing affiliates and whilst not part of Vodafone, do offer
units/contracts to their customers.
However, I've got myself a Nokia N95, a bluetooth headset and a months
data package for £30 directly from Vodafone, so I'm happy with that as
an upgrade.

They are an independent dealer. To say they are affiliated with Vodafone
is perhaps a little misleading. The offer sounds legitimate but I would
shop around first if you are tempted.
