I got a 6300 yesterday to replace the 6310i i've been using for
years. It's the first 'modern' phone i've seen that seems to be
predominantly a phone rather than a toy. It's not bad. Quick to
boot, doesn't keep connecting to the net when i press the navi key
(unlike a few phones i've tried where that seems to be the default
behavior for about 4 different keys).
Size is nice - not too thin,, not too short. keypad could do with a
bit more space underneath it to make it easier to use.
Getting your phonebook on should be easy enough - the new pc suite is
a lot better than the crap Nokia used to ship. Infra red to a pc
from your 6310 would probably be easiest then download back via a
standard usb cable (good move Nokia!).
Other comments:
- not a single decent, "normal", ringtone on it. grrr.
- why the new charger plug? Charger itself is a work of art - smaller
than most 3 pin plugs- but incompatible with my old chargers and feels
delicate
- stupid over-small memory cards?
- Why the stupid 2.5mm headphone socket? surely it's worth the space
to put a normal socket in?
For a couple of mm extra length on the phone all those could have been
made normal size.
