Has anyone been successful in getting their Argos card. I accepted the
offer by email. It is now 7 working days and I have received nothing. Its
probably not worth emailing them again as they say they are unable to
answer specific enquiries. Wait and see I suppose.

Panic over. Argos card received with correct amount of money on it. Just
one more claim to go now, fingers crossed.

ive just had an email saying waiting for manual processing. 75 days
since claim.
next one to go off in week or so.

all sounds very fishy.
am thinking about bottling it and settling for argos

anyone any ideas on what we could do. could we collectively chase
them somehow?

Hi there,

Can we go to Watchdog?!!

Same thing has happened to me. First time I emailed them and the money
appeared in my account. This time I got the long email about the
'major computer problem'.

It's not like they make it easy in the first place.........find the
secret code on the back of the secret form , write this on your
statement under a full moon, add some magic dust, send by registered
post (they can't pay you anything if it gets lost you know!!) ....they
will then email you a million times asking you if you want an argos
voucher or a mini fridge, Refuse five times, and they will ask you
again if you REALLY just want the cash.

And now this!! It's gotta be a scam.

I faxed mine off to them to which I got a fail after it connected as their
end doesn't accept colour faxes, then I sent it a second time, 2 days later
an email confirming
that I have successfully submitted mine, then go to the site and choose what
I wanted, I ended up going for the argos/homebase option, I suppose it will
come in handy
towards Christmas, also gardening or something. I only chose this option as
it seemed like the quicker option. 1 mth instead of 2.
anyone had problems with the vouchers, receiving them I mean.
Cheers

Thank god it is not just me, then!

I sent my first cashback voucher 15th Feb, second on the 15th of
April
and am due to send my third (I have a total of four) in a couple of
weeks. I have not received a single voucher. I back whoever suggested
collective action. If some people have been able to cut through the
backlog by complaining at the start of all of this, then it stands to
reason that a group would have more clout! Just a thought - does
anyone live in Nottinghamshire?? A suprise visit I'm assuming
wouldn't
hurt!

Also, I thoroughly disapprove of the Argos option - it seems to me
that they are just trying to fob us off and that the processing of
these secondary options probably takes up just as much of their
poorely spent time as sorting out this supposed 'backlog'. Though it
does make me think the technical issue is genuine - though maybe this
is the intention and they are just playing for time?

So, where to go from here?....
